New 11+ practice papers are sent out via email every Friday. You can sign up to receive these, every week, using the form above.
Exam Information
Exam style — CAT4.
Exam types:
CAT4 (verbal, non-verbal, spatial and quantitative reasoning)
Exam length — 72 minutes.
The CAT4 test is composed of 8 short tests assessing the following subsections of the four areas above:
Figure Classification (10 mins)
Figure Matrices (10 mins)
Verbal Classification (8 mins)
Verbal Analogies (8 mins)
Number Analogies (10 mins)
Number Series (8 mins)
Figure Analysis (9 mins)
Figure Recognition (9 mins)
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the admissions test. On completion of the tests, all candidates receive an age-standardized score.
Other exam information:
The online application form must be submitted before sitting the assessment, along with a £50 non-refundable application fee.
An updated school report will be required as part of the application process.
The assessment will be sat on a taster day where the child will be asked to sit a computer-based CAT4 test.
After completing the application, parents and candidates will be given a tour of the school with the headteacher.
An offer is made based on their assessment mark, their interview performance, and current-school reports.
