Children living in the priority admission area for the school.
Children of staff employed by the school.
Up to 15 per cent of spaces will be allocated based on the results of an 11 plus test of general ability. Those scoring higher being awarded priority of entry.
Any remaining places will be allocated according to the distance from the child's home address to the School.

The King John School (often known as King John), was established in 1949 and is a large, mixed comprehensive school in Benfleet, Essex. The school also has a large, attached sixth form. It was named after King John of England (1166-1216) and became an academy in 2011.
