11 Plus Preparation Resources For Bedford Girls' School
Exam Information
Exam style — School’s own exam and CAT 4.
Exam types:
English
CAT 4
Exam length — 2 hours (CAT4) and 45 minutes (English exam).
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the admissions test. On completion of the tests, all candidates receive an age-standardized score.
Other exam information:
The English paper examines creative writing skills.
CAT 4 is a computer based assessment that examines the child’s cognitive abilities and acquired skills in verbal, non-verbal, quantitative and spatial reasoning.
The entrance examinations are held in the January of year 6.
Girls will have a short interview with the headmistress. The candidates will be asked to bring with them something that they love and can talk about.
A non-refundable registration fee of £100 will be required.
A progress report from the candidate’s previous school will be needed as part of the admission process.
