Oversubscription policy — Before the application of oversubscription criteria, students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names the school and who have passed the assessment will be admitted. As a result of this the published admissions number will be reduced accordingly.

 Where qualifying applications for admission exceed the number of places available, places will be determined as follows:

  1. Eligible girls who are classed as ”Looked After” or who have previously been “Looked After”.

  2. Eligible girls who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.

  3. Eligible girls who live within the historic Borough of Poole or Poole postcodes BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15, BH16, BH17, BH18 and BH21 3**, and who are currently entitled to the Pupil Premium.

  4. Eligible girls who live within the historic Borough of Poole or Poole postcodes BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15, BH16, BH17, BH18 and BH21 3**.

  5. Eligible girls who live outside the historic Borough of Poole or Poole postcodes BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15, BH16, BH17, BH18 and BH21 3**, and who are currently entitled to the Pupil Premium.

  6. Eligible girls who live outside the historic Borough of Poole or Poole postcodes BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15, BH16, BH17, BH18 and BH21 3** in rank order of the entrance test scores, with those girls obtaining the highest scores given higher priority.

School Summary

Parkstone Grammar School was established in 1905 and is a girls’ grammar school in Poole, Dorset. The school became an academy in 2011 and specialises in science and languages.

The school works in collaboration with local Poole Grammar School for Boys to offer an extensive curriculum. They encourage their girls to embrace commitment, courage and compassion.
