New 11+ practice papers are sent out via email every Friday. You can sign up to receive these, every week, using the form above.

Exam Information

Exam style — School’s own exam

Exam types:

  • Maths

  • English

Exam length — 1x 60-minute English exam and 1x 45 minute maths exam.

Pass mark —  The pass mark is unknown, but there are only 30 places available for entry into Year 7 each year.

Other exam information:

  • The entrance exams take place in the January of year 6.

  • The English exam is made up of a comprehension and a writing section.

  • The maths exam is non-calculator. The first section tests general maths skills. The second focuses on problem-solving. All maths questions align with the national curriculum and are multiple choice.

  • The assessment application form must be filled out either online or on paper and mailed to the school by the end of October in year 6. A non-refundable registration fee of £100 is required.

  • Parents will receive an application pack in mid-November that explains the layout of the exam day.
