The papers we’ve shared above are in a similar style to GL papers and those typically delivered as stage-one 11 Plus assessments by Tiffin Girls’ School. Tiffin Girls’ School does not release any full past or practice papers. 

The content of the Maths and English tests is based fully on the Key Stage 2 curriculum. In previous years, the first stage of exams have been reported to be similar to the Sutton Schools exams.

New 11+ practice papers are sent out via email every Friday. You can sign up to receive these, every week, using the form at the top of the page.

Over-subscription policy —  Where qualifying applications for admission exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:

  1. Girls with Statements of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health and Care Plan which names Tiffin Girls’ School  specifically.

  2. Looked after or previously looked after girls (whose mark in the Stage Two Test is higher than or equal to the 350th ranked mark of all applicants who sat the Stage Two Test).

  3. Girls whose mark in the Stage Two Test is higher than or equal to the 350th ranked mark of all applicants who sat the Stage Two Test AND live in the Inner or Designated Areas AND qualify for Pupil Premium funding.

  4. Girls whose mark in the Stage Two Test is higher than or equal to the 350th ranked mark of all applicants who sat the Stage Two Test AND live in the Inner Area.

  5. Girls who scored highest in the Stage Two Test AND live in the Designated Area. 

  6. Girls who  scored highest in the Stage Two Test AND live outside the Designated Area.

Tiffin Girls’ School is a selective, girls’ grammar school in Kingston, London. It became an academy in 2011 and specialises in maths, languages and computing.

Pass mark — The pass mark is decided by the school after the tests have been marked. There is no preset pass mark.

Other exam information:

  • There are two stages of exams.

  • Girls must pass the first stage of exams in order to be invited back for the second stage. 

  • In the first stage of exams, all questions are multiple choice in both the English and Maths exams. Exam papers are marked by a computer.

  • The second stage exam varies. In previous years, the exams have included comprehension, a writing task and standard format maths questions.

  • Marks from the Stage One Test do not contribute to the final offer of places at the School.

Scores will be standardised and age-weighted.
