Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the exam, however there are only around 130 pupils accepted each year.
Other exam information:
Entrance exams take place in November of the year before entry and are followed by an interview the next week. A decision will be made within one month.
Registration costs £250 which is non-refundable.
Both independent and state primary school pupils are welcome to apply.
Open evenings usually take place from September to November.

Exam length — 2x 45-60 minutes exams.
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the exam however there are normally only 10-14 places available for Year 7.
Other exam information:
Assessments take place in mid-November, the year before entry.
Offer letters are released in January.
As part of the application, you must send in an online form with three pieces of the student’s work.
Only 30-40 students are then invited to the next stage, which is made up of assessments and interviews.
The assessment day will involve a creative writing assignment and an online test in verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

The Henrietta Barnett School (HBS) was established in 1911 and is an all-girls, selective grammar school. The school is one of the best state schools in the UK. It became an academy in 2012.

Baptised Catholic girls, from a Practising Catholic family (evidenced by a Certificate of Catholic Practice from their Parish Priest) and who have made their First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church (normally evidenced by a remembrance of First Holy Communion) who are in receipt of the Pupil Premium — and are ranked amongst the top 200 places in the entrance test. A maximum of 32 such children (25% of the total) will be admitted, these are allotted according to rank order in the test if there are more than 32.
Baptised Catholic girls, from a Practising Catholic family (evidenced by a Certificate of Catholic Practice from their Parish Priest) and who have made their First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church (normally evidenced by a remembrance of First Holy Communion) in rank order beginning with the highest.
Baptised Catholic girls in rank order (in the entrance test) beginning with the highest.
Girls of Other Christian Denominations in rank order (in the entrance test) beginning with the highest.
Other Looked After girls.
Other girls in receipt of Pupil Premium.
Any other girls.

School Summary
St. Michael’s Catholic Grammar School was founded in 1908 under the trusteeship of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus. It is a Catholic, all-girls, selective grammar school in Barnet, North London.
It became a Voluntary Aided Grammar School in September 1958. Boys were allowed to join the school’s 6th Form from 2009.
The school describes itself as “a Catholic school in which Gospel values inform all aspects of community life.”
