Exam Information
Exam style — School’s own exam and CAT4.
Exam types:
English
Maths
CAT4 (verbal, non-verbal, spatial and quantitative reasoning)
Exam length — 72 minutes (CAT4).
The CAT4 test is composed of 8 short tests assessing the following subsections of the four areas above:
Figure Classification (10 mins)
Figure Matrices (10 mins)
Verbal Classification (8 mins)
Verbal Analogies (8 mins)
Number Analogies (10 mins)
Number Series (8 mins)
Figure Analysis (9 mins)
Figure Recognition (9 mins)
Interviews — Applicants may be interviewed as part of the admissions process.
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the exams.
Other exam and entry information:
The CAT4 Test is an online assessment that examines verbal, non-verbal, spacial and quantitive reasoning.
The English paper will test the child’s writing skills.
All entry exams are taken on the Year 6 Entrance Day in November.
A non-refundable fee is paid to the school for registration.
