11 Plus Preparation Resources For Long Close School
Exam Information
Exam style — School’s own exam and CEM Select.
Exam types:
English
Maths
CEM Select (maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning)
Exam length — 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Pass mark — There is no fixed pass mark for the admissions test. On completion of the tests, all candidates receive an age-standardized score.
Other exam information:
The assessments include a combined maths and English paper and also a CEM online test which examines maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
The online test aims to assess potential rather than knowledge.
On the assessment day, the girls will have a group interview conducted by the headmistress or the deputy headmistress.
A reference from the child’s former school will be required.
A non-refundable entry fee of £100 is required for registration.
