Where qualifying applications for admission exceed the number of places available, places will be determined as follows:
Looked After Children / Previously Looked After Children who have met the qualifying standard
Candidates in receipt of Pupil Premium who have met the qualifying standard.
Candidates who have met the qualifying standard who have a parent who is, at the time the application is made, a member of School staff, provided the parent has either been employed for minimum of two years, or has been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there was a demonstrable skills shortage at the time of their appointment.
All other candidates who have met the qualifying standard in test rank order.
School Summary
The Crypt School was established in 1539 and is a mixed, selective grammar school in Gloucestershire. It was previously an all-boys’ school but it became co-educational in 2018. The school became an academy in 2011.
The Crypt School specialises in science and languages. In 2019, 65% of all GCSE students achieved at least 5 Grade 7-9 GCSEs.
