- Introduction to The Exam Coach and our workshops.

- The Exam Coach tutor will test students' knowledge of English for the NCEE English exam.

- Each session is different in content, but all classes focus on preparing Primary 6 students for their examinations. Please see below for more details.

Types of NCEE tuition:

The content of each session varies between:

📚 English Comprehension
Students are guided through NCEE-style short passages, followed by multiple-choice questions. Tutors focus on evidence-based reading, inference, author’s purpose, and vocabulary in context — all key skills needed to perform well on test day.

Suitable for: NCEE English comprehension section preparation. ✅

✏️ Sentence Structure
These sessions help students master sentence structure by choosing the most appropriate word or phrase to complete a sentence logically and grammatically, as required in the structure section of the English paper.

Suitable for: NCEE English structure section preparation. ✅

🔁 Lexis
Students practise identifying synonyms and antonyms, a key part of the lexis section, and build confidence with a wide range of vocabulary questions.

Suitable for: NCEE English lexis section preparation. ✅

🗣️ Advanced Vocabulary
A strong vocabulary helps students in both the English and verbal aptitude sections. These sessions expand students’ word banks with high-utility academic words and strategies for deducing meaning through context.

Suitable for: all NCEE English preparation. ✅

Also included:

- Class test.

- Individual test.

- Class notes (these are circulated 24 hours after the workshop).

Description:

If your child is in Primary 6, they may be preparing for the NCEE, which will impact their admission into Nigeria’s top Federal Unity Colleges.

Exam Coach workshops are upbeat and engaging with short stories, funny GIFs and memes (designed to aid learning), as well as quick fire tests to ensure students are retaining information. If you’d like your child to participate in an enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience - sign them up!

Appropriate for:

- Pupils in Primary 6 who will be taking the NCEE. A mixed difficulty of questions will be included.

- Each workshop is self-contained. This means you can join a workshop whenever it suits your child, they do not need to have attended any other workshops beforehand.

Individual test:

- Students will be set an exam-style question as homework at the end of the workshop. This should be answered after the workshop.

- Class notes are sent out 24 hours after the workshop containing the answers to this test.

- Students should review the class notes to consolidate newly acquired information.
